Toyota Research Institute Waterproofing Project

The Toyota Research Institute is a 90,000 SF facility in Los Altos, CA focused on applying artificial intelligence to robotics, automated driving, and exploratory research to the auto industry. Lerch Bates project involvement consisted of design and consultation services to waterproof an existing generator enclosure and electrical enclosure located at the underground garage level.

Lerch Bates’ services to Cody Brock Construction included an initial On-Site Assessment with Pre-Design services involving preparation of a Preliminary Concept for Repair Options, Comparative Analysis and Risk Assessment of Multiple System Options, Concept Sketches and Material Recommendations, Tabulated Repair Options with Advantages, Risks, and Considerations, Preliminary Sketches and Recommendations for Installation and Testing. Additional services included preparation of Limited Design Development Documents for bidding purposes, Construction Documents for Permit and Construction, participation in Pre-Construction Meetings, On-site Quality Assurance Observations and ASTM D 4541 Waterproofing Adhesion Membrane Testing.
