Science Museum of Minnesota Exterior Facade and Roof Systems Project
The Science Museum of Minnesota is one of the region’s premier education centers and tourist attractions. Lerch Bates was selected to evaluate the museum’s exterior facade and roof systems and prepare construction documents as the designer of record for the $26M Building Preservation Project.
Using state of the art technology, including infrared thermography, thermal modeling, pressurization diagnostics and application of building science principles, Lerch Bates‘ evaluation determined the appropriate scope of repairs within the Building Preservation Project. Lerch Bates also serves as the designer of record for the facade work, which will provide the museum with a fresh and dynamic appearance while maintaining the integrity of the original design intent.
