The project consists of 838,000 SF, 20-story office tower in downtown Sacramento, headquarters for the State of California Natural Resources Agency, Department of Water Resources, Department of Forestry and other key groups. The office tower is targeting Net Zero and LEED Platinum status and features 10,000 SF of retail and public space, an auditorium, a multi-vendor food court and a pedestrian plaza.
Turner Construction retained Lerch Bates on the project to serve as the Building Enclosure Commissioning Director (BECxD). Specific services include participation in the initial Kick-Off meeting, Technical Plan & Specifications Reviews, preparation of the Building Enclosure Commissioning Plan, BECx Specifications and Test Matrix, Shop Drawing & Submittal Reviews, preparation of Quality Control Checklists, Pre-Construction & Construction Phase Meetings, On-site Quality Assurance Observations, ASTM E1105 Water Penetration Testing and Project Closeout including 10-Month Performance Review and BECx Report & Systems Manual.
