Brian Erickson, Executive Vice President of Enclosures & Structures and Facades, Announces Retirement

After five years of leading various parts of Lerch Bates Recintos y Estructuras y Construcción de análisis forense teams, brian erickson has announced his decision to retire from the business world at the end of 2024. Erickson joined Lerch Bates as part of the company’s 2019 acquisition of Pie Consulting and Engineering and most recently served as the leader of the entire LB ciencia de la construcción division, which includes both Enclosures & Structures and Forensics.

As a key player in the development of Pie Consulting and Engineering, Erickson was integral to the company’s growth and success. This culminated in the acquisition of Pie by Lerch Bates, where he played a pivotal role in integrating Pie into the larger Lerch Bates structure.

Throughout his tenure, Erickson’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the success of the ciencia de la construcción team.

“Brian’s dedication and commitment have made a lasting impact on the organization, and his influence will continue to be felt long after his retirement,” said eric rupe, President & CEO. “His ability to lead and nurture growth within the company has helped establish a strong foundation for the future of Building Science at Lerch Bates.”

With Erickson transitioning to the next chapter of his life, where he will spend more time with his family and friends, Lerch Bates announced the next wave of leadership for the ciencia de la construcción team at Lerch Bates.

Effective immediately, four talented team members will take on leadership roles for various practices within the Building Science group. Rick Shimonek, Shannon W. Pierce, PE, michelle murray, y ryan krug will be responsible for the ongoing operations of the team and will collaborate for the success of Building Science as a whole. These individuals bring extensive experience, passion, and a deep understanding of the company’s vision and goals.

“While Brian’s retirement marks the end of an era, it also marks the beginning of an exciting new phase for the Building Science group at Lerch Bates,” said Rupe. “We are confident that Rick, Shannon, Michelle, and Ryan will continue to drive success and innovation. They each bring a unique set of skills and perspectives to the table, and their collective leadership will ensure that the Building Science team thrives.”

Erickson will continue to support the team for the remainder of the year, helping these leaders transition smoothly into their expanded roles and ensuring that the Building Science group remains on a path to continued success.
