About this project

TCS Banyan Park Façade Design

The site in Mumbai, India is graced by mature banyan trees and gently sloping topography. The 600,000 square foot campus is composed of low-rise buildings clad with indigenous Indian granite and exposed architectural concrete. Large stone units are used for vertical sunscreens and visual features to bring scale to the linear structures. Walkways are clad with carved sandstone in a modern jali pattern to cast shade along the link between buildings. The balance of the facades features glazed window walls and curtain walls strategically placed to take advantage of natural daylighting while minimizing direct sun exposure. The facade design features a rainscreen concept that facilitates rinsing during rainfall to keep the facade clean.
