The original architecture team was retained for the large expansion with similar architectural themes. One of the most stunning design components of the expansion is the lobby with a large cantilevered roof and highly transparent high-span glass wall. The glass is unsupported along the vertical joints which required a heavy glass make-up of three plies of ½” low iron glass 6′ wide and 15’6″ tall. The corner detail included staggering the plies to avoid an unsightly joint while concealing the glass interlayer.
