About this project

LAX Terminal 1 Building Envelope Consulting Project

With a focus on sustainability, Los Angeles International Airport implemented a redevelopment plan to increase energy efficiency in the airport and update the technology for modern-day needs. The $508 million project relocates the main entrance to Terminal 1 to help mitigate traffic issues around the airport, as well as replacing outdated exterior envelope materials for more efficient and environmentally friendly products. Lerch Bates consulted on the use and installation of these enclosure materials during design, and provided hands-on construction phase observations and other services to help the project reach its goals.
