Lerch Bates, an employee-owned international consulting firm for vertical transportation, façade access and logistics, announced Heath Hayes has been named consultant, elevator consulting group, in its Columbus, Ohio, office. He joins the world’s oldest and largest elevator consulting firm with more than 8 years of experience in the vertical transportation industry.
In his new role, Hayes will provide insightful solutions to meet the needs and expectations of Lerch Bates clients. He will be responsible for developing relationships with potential clients and managing the project cycle from request for proposal or inspection, writing of reports and proposals and ensuring timely completion of projects to billing for payment of services. He also will work collaboratively with other Lerch Bates consultants and support services to ensure premier customer service to the firm’s diverse portfolio of clients. A second-generation vertical transportation industry professional, Hayes possesses expert level industry knowledge through experience, research and writing.

Hayes previously served as a modernization sales representative as well as an account manager for ThyssenKrupp Elevator. He was responsible for growing the modernization segment of the company and managed projects from the sales process to completion. Hayes was successful in increasing ThyssenKrupp Elevator’s modernization market share in the region and building meaningful relationships with potential customers, general contractors, architects and other elevator consultants. His project management responsibilities included communicating with subcontractors and vendors and performing duties as the prime contractor on numerous complex projects.
Hayes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated with honors. He also is a certified LEED Green Associate by the U.S. Green Building Council.
