Lerch Bates, the world’s oldest and largest consulting firm for vertical transportation, façade access and logistics, announced Mark Gustafson has been named consultant, elevator consulting group, in its Phoenix, Ariz., office. He joins the international firm with more than 27 years of experience in the vertical transportation industry.
Gustafson will provide vertical transportation analysis and design in the growing Arizona and New Mexico markets. In his new role with Lerch Bates, he will perform vertical transportation system studies, provide design and construction services for elevator and escalator equipment, manage design and contract documents and execute vertical transportation maintenance evaluations. He most recently served as the chief elevator inspector for the City of Phoenix for 16 years and as an inspector for the city for 11 years.

Gustafson attended Kansas State University and is a QEI-1 certified elevator inspector.
