Welts Joined Firm in Late 2013 and Has Been Instrumental in Its Growth
Lerch Bates, an international consulting firm for vertical transportation, façade access and materials management, has promoted industry veteran Ron Welts to regional manager of its San Francisco office. He previously served as project manager, elevator consulting group, providing vertical transportation consulting services for designs, maintenance, due diligence and modernizations throughout Northern California.
Ron quickly established himself in the vertical transportation market of Northern California after joining Lerch Bates in October 2013. He promptly demonstrated strong leadership, business development and consulting skills and substantially contributed to the growing presence of Lerch Bates in the marketplace.

Ron served as an elevator installation superintendent providing leadership for the installation of traction and hydraulic elevators and escalators for KONE prior to joining Lerch Bates. He also worked for Otis Elevator Company for 14 years in numerous roles including service operations manager, general manager, service supervisor and construction superintendent. He served in the United States Navy as a commissioned officer in the early 1990s.
Welts earned a Bachelor of Science in marine transportation from California Maritime Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Mary’s College of California.
