Joins World’s Largest and Oldest Vertical Transportation Firm
with 15 Years of Industry Experience
Lerch Bates, an international consulting firm for vertical transportation, façade access and materials management, announced industry veteran Mike Lyon has been named project manager, elevator consulting group, in its Washington, D.C., office. He joins the firm with more than 15 years of leadership and sales experience in the elevator industry.
In his new role with Lerch Bates, Lyon is tasked with providing vertical transportation consulting services for design, inspection, maintenance, due diligence and modernization throughout the region. He most recently served as a new equipment engineer for KONE in Washington, D.C., and as an accountant manager for Otis Elevator Company in Maryland. Lyon also has worked as a sales representative for Eklund’s, a custom cab manufacturer and cab interior finish-out fabricator, and EMCO (Elevator Modernization Company).

Lyon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in risk management and insurance (RMI) from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in Athens, Georgia.
