Lerch Bates Appoints Barbara Novoa Associate, Facade Access Consulting Group

Lerch Bates, an employee-owned international consulting firm for vertical transportation, façade access and logistics, announced that Barbara Novoa has been named associate, façade access consulting group, in its suburban Houston, Texas, office.

Novoa is tasked with supporting the firm’s Façade Access Consulting Group by assisting with the development of façade access design solutions and drawings, layouts and custom equipment. She also will manage assigned projects to ensure the completion of multiple deadlines and milestones as well as assist in developing local
markets by marketing Lerch Bates, assisting in exhibiting the firm in regional conferences and meeting with prospective clients.

“Barbara possesses a unique level of design experience and understanding,” said Lerch Bates President and CEO Bart Stephan. “Her knowledge and exposure to the technical aspects of building access and exterior building systems will be exceptional assets to Lerch Bates as we continue to grow our Façade Access Consulting Group team in the United States.”

She previously served as a technical designer for globally renowned architecture firm Gensler working on large scale commercial office buildings and corporate campuses with a specialization in construction documentation, client and consultant coordination, construction administration and project close-out tasks. Novoa also assisted studio teams with setting up processes to assist with document management, team management and construction administration procedures. Additionally, she has experience working with an interior design scope by way of hospitality and commercial office buildings and has worked closely with design teams and clients to realize design intents through the construction documentation phase and beyond.

Novoa earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design from the University of Houston. She is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a member of the Texas Society of Architects and a LEED Green Associate with the U.S. Green Building Council.
